The Pre-Purchase Orientation is a workshop that educates home buyers on topics critical to purchasing a home, including: An overview of the home purchase process, home purchase programs like HPAP, EAHP, IZ, & tax relief programs, understanding home loans and how to determine if you are ready to buy
HPAP Description and Eligibility
Home Purchase Assistance Program (HPAP): DC residents only. Up to $4,000 for closing costs and up to $202,000 downpayment assistance based on household size, income and purchase price.
EAHP Descriptions
Employer Assisted Housing Program (EAHP): DC Government employees only. Up to $20,000 with matching funds of up to $5,000. For DC first responders and educators up to $30,000 with matching funds of up to $15,000. https://dhcd.dc.gov/eahp
NEAHP: Up to $26,500 based on union membership, years of service with the DC Government and marital status.
